The height of the static wicks are perfect for the baggage carts to rip them off when driving up too or away from the back cargo door ( luckily I have prevented it on my crew due to due my insistence of leaving as much room as you can when loading/unloading baggage). There has been a few close calls on other shifts and even a few grounded flights due to the lack of common sense some of the other guys have.

Re: MD-80 Engine Fire - Reality or Doctored Picture?

It's a doctored image. Journalists are stupid, they should get proper information before publishing rubbish. Any pilot will tell you that it was a clear and elementary pilot mistake. This stuff is tought at the very beginning of any flight course. Whoever flies knows this, even just a freshly winged pilot.

Re: Detailed Qantas 747 Explosion Pictures

Bloggs Bloggs they are not the same aircraft! They are all called Longreach thats what Qantas calls their 747-400 aircraft. The Bangkok overrun incident was with an aircraft rego VH-OJH, Bangkok on back up electrical power was with VH-OJM and by the way not all 4 generators failed only 3. This one into Manila was with VH-OJK so all different aircraft. Get your facts and dates correct!

Re: Ode to Landing Gear

I don't make fun of people making Gear-up landings, because there's two kinds of pilots, those who've made a gear up landing, and those that are going to. Dont spend more millions of $$$ to fix it just to avoid a write-off of the aircraft. If you ignore the warning signs of the stresses this airframe has sufferred you will be counting bodies as well as $$$.

Re: Detailed Qantas 747 Explosion Pictures

What a silly comment....

The circular doors that are shown are on the port side of the aircraft, and are 'overpressure' doors, which open if the interior pressure exceeds roughly 9,5 psi over ambient.

Re: Highly Classified Photos of New Stealth Aircraft Leaked

with todays radar cloaking is highly impractical.

Re: Highly Classified Photos of New Stealth Aircraft Leaked

lol

Re: Detailed Qantas 747 Explosion Pictures

i bet the aircraft was over stressed from over speed!!!

Re: Airbus A340 Meets Wall. I live in Tupelo, MS and our airport board says we need to extend our runway in order to accomadate a tup to cvg flight. The distance is 348 km. Tup currently has 6500' at an alt of 325' but needs to be figured for a 95 degree day .
This would be flown by Delta and I dont know if they fly the -200 or 700 modles .
Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Re: Wierd Airline Callsigns…Say What?

Facts that you probably didnt know about some of the most known airlines in the world.

Cheers

David.

Re: British Airways 777 LHR Crash Pictures

Oh my word that must have been one heck of a bump, Im glad the pilot on that flight was a good one as that could have been disasterous.

Cheers

David

Re: Ode to Landing Gear

At the local airport, a student AND a flight instructor forgot to put down the landing gear.

Re: Highly Classified Photos of New Stealth Aircraft Leaked

I totally agree on that matter but even I could show you someone on top of a cloaked aircraft... Just use green screen. But they could have just put a raptor there and then moved it after it had stopped the ground getting wet. I looked up the boeing and that's somethign I didn't know though odd body design. They said it was tested but not being released or so teh public knew does that mean they still are working on it or have dropped cloaking? I mean you can cloak a plane but if you managed that what use would it be exept for scouting as soon as it went to warfare there'd be not much point because the plane would be realsing bullets and missiles like heck... anway good comment, there going to have to think of something better to fool us i mean seriously...

Re: Airbus A340 Meets Wall.
